Screws backing out isn't really an issue with these, they don't see vibrations and shock like our RCs do. It's good that it works with the screws cranked way down, when I did that to mine it caused the 3 red rings (it was only 2 when it died). Backing off a little let it go back to the 2 red rings. I used the Wal Mart lifetime warranty on mine though, got a brand new one to replace my aging unit Good to hear that the fix is working for you though, I have no idea how long that fix lasts though.
