i put a associated plastic center diff gear on the truggy and it is very quiet. gear wear is no longer a problem, but there are 2 new problems.

i can't tighten the 4 diff screws without the plastic gear warping

the center diff now leaks all its fluid within 5 minutes of driving (probably from not being able to tighten the gear enough. yes, i did remember to transfer the o-ring and use the gasket that is included with the gear.)

They say a good mechanic only needs 2 tools - WD40 & Duct tape. If it moves, and its not supposed to, duct tape. If it doesn't move, and its supposed to, WD40.
