late to the 2wd game, what truck to buy

i'd go for the hpi blitz ese.

the blitz is much lighter than the slash and needs less motor to get it going good. runtimes and temps are better as well. i'm using a cheapo ezrun 12t 3300kv motor (380 sized) on 3s and it temps at 120-140F on 3s geared 19/88

all you would have to do to get it race-worthy is get better tires and you are good to go.
