Update!

I received my Tekin T8 4038 2000kv motor and installed it in my E Revo along with the MM Pro.

Yeah I know, it's a 1/10 esc, but I had to try this. The excellant Engineering of a well made Castle ESC and the Tekin 4 pole sensored motor.

4S Lipo is feeding the power, plus I'm only shooting for about 40mph. We're not shooting for the moon in terms of speed, so amp draw should be manageable.

A 52 Mod 1 spur was installed along with a 22 tooth pinion on the motor. This proved to be too much. The ESC was getting uncomfortably hot and so was the motor. However, it did run like a raped ape.

So I backed off on the gearing somewhat. I believe 19/52 to be the sweet spot as far as gearing goes.

Temps are well in hand, but it's making good solid power. It also has ZERO cogging on startup. Smart Sense is at work.

Low Speed control is so good in fact, shifting into "crawler mode" is just a matter of taming the trigger finger.

I love it!

This is the smoothest setup I've ever owned.

Way to go Castle!

Wanna see a picture of my setup?

The MMM hold down was used by putting some velcro under the MM Pro. This holds it very well. It also provides a nice place to mount the ON/OFF switch.

I did add a cap to the power leads of the MM Pro.

The ESC fan does run, but only feels warm to the touch. It doesn't run long if I'm not running it hard.

What you see behind the motor, is another ESC mounting platform. This is held in place by the shock mount screws. It has velcro on top of it.

The purpose this serves:

My Eagle tree data logger has the female velcro on it. When I want to log a run, this is where I stick it. Then it can simply be pulled loose and plugged into the computer for downloading data.

My question is will i have any glitching probs running that many volts to a powerful servo... i have a 2nd mmp i was thinking of setting the bec to 4.8 just in case
