Hey Damon - Welcome - If your maxx is basically stock and your going to add the awesome power of BL - you are going to want to get a couple things to make sure you can harness the power. Most people once they go BL - usually only use one gear, second (First is basically used for flipping over and scratching the heck out of the top of the body and snapping off body mounts - LOL). Some things that i recommend is are the single speed transmission case conversion with the steel idler gear. The stock transmission is way heavy and makes it a pain in the neck to get to the drivetrain if you need to. The single speed trans is half the size - half the rotating mass and makes it super simple to work on. The plastic idlers dont last long with BL power. CVD's are a must. These BL systems make some serious power. Aluminum or Carbon Fibre chassis with extension (to keep wheelies down - well some what anyway). I know this seems like a lot of stuff to do, but because of the power output, these all become necessary at some point. You are going to want to make this as enjoyable as possible - it really is fun till some small weak plastic part puts the stop to the fun. Then it stinks waiting for the parts to fix. Im not trying to scare you - This is like everything else - you wanna play ( big power ) at some point your gonna pay - LOL. The main thing is have FUN with the maxx - and read these forums ( A LOT ) What you will learn from others here will save you lots of time and frustration. Enjoy....

Hows that "Hope and Change" working out for Ya???
