Plasti-dip can be peeled off with out leaving any residue. At least from my experience. However if I ruined the MMM I would be happy to take responsibility since I altered it. I have also seen some successful using a micro lubricant called Corrosion-X. However like I said, once I did this, I knew that I would take the responsibility if anything happens.
