But yes, treading water, not to mention the fat guys always pushing on you when you have the ball...

That's... actually a pretty good idea, though.. school is practically out, and we don't really have a pool at school, so if what I'm thinking right, we can't transport people to our Community College (Where we swim), to do the pledged thing..

Doubt anyone would do that -_-
Just do the fundraising laps instead of part of practice one day. Just have the coach/principal verify and signoff on it. Theres not a need for the people pledging the money to be there unless they really want to. One year at my high school I raised over $1k myself for my weightlifting team using this method. I busted tail and got $0.66 a pound lifted in the 4 events. That was 60+ people pledging at least $0.01/pound.
