I have now upped to a 16t clutch-bell, perfect gearing for me. Temps are good, nothing over 100f except the motor at 120f. I have driven the car as much as I can, but my charger/batteries are acting up. I can only charge and not balance for some reason, and have ruined one battery and I'm not letting this happen again!

I have finally got some pictures of the finished car, it is dusty but thats how it is when I drive first and take pics later

IMO I did a good job on this car, and selected a very efficient and powerfull combination of electronics. I love the way it drives, and after changing changing to carbon clutch shoes and bending the springs a little the clutch works the way I like it too, and clutch temps are about 150f which is just fine.

I must say I will never drive my tekno cars without the clutch, because I like the overall feeling the clutch and mek. brakes give the car. I did however open up the springs a touch, so that the car takes off right away when I give full throttle

I hope others that see my cars will want to try to convert and set up a 1/8 buggy them selves. I am very happy with my buggy's.

thomas,
turned out great man. i cant wait to do my tekno MBX6. ever since i read reviews on the Mbx6 and saw teknos conversion for it i knew that would be my next buggy for sure. i love how they laid the servos sideways to move everything forward. i love mech brakes too. i am doing a Jammin SCRT build right now and putting mech brakes on it. anyway, turned out great. i will post pics of my mugen build when i do it. have fun!

The MBX-6 is a great car, I love the new captured cvd pins. I have read that if you do a lot jumping the alu front tower is a must, I got it with the used roller I bought.

I think mike's kit for it looks good too, and one could easily make mek. brakes for it as well. I am glad I chose tekno, even though I had some problems with heat in the clutch at first. If you are going to use the clutch, get some softer alu shoes or carbon shoes and thin/slightly bent out springs. The stock shoes are too hard imo, and start slipping too much when hot.

I wholeheartedly recomend the MMPro and tekin 1400kv, a perfect setup for these cars A medusa 1300kv works very well with the MMPro too.
