MGM compro 120 amp 12 cell car controller - 02.20.2006, 11:02 PM

Does anybody know anything about it? I need a controller that can handle the hottest motor i can put in my b4 on 7.4v (maybe a lehner 1520 4turn hi-amp).

the 120 would be WAY more than enough. a 9920 might be a good candidate.

I think i still need the 120, the motors i plan on running pull over 100amps continuous the 99amp would fry.

Correction, the motor that you want to run that many have said to ditch and to go with a higher voltage setup ;).

The 9920 can be ran with no reverse or brakes.

You mean for a RC10B4? If your racing it don't waste you time with any of those controllers and get a Novak GTB system. They are perfect for 1/10th racing. They were designed by guys who actually race cars, not guys who fly planes.

I heard a lot of problems from that controller and sensord isn't as fast as sensorless.

Not true. It's just that novak motors aren't as fast as most others. The new velociti 4.5R motor sounds fairly nippy though

The speed potential of the Novak is not as good as a sensorless system correct. But if you are racing on a dirt track I can absolutely garuntee you that would be happier with a LRP or Novak system. You will never be able to lay down more power than the Novak 6.5 puts out. I mean the worlds were won with a 14t brushed motor. 2wd buggy racing is all about being smooth and in control, huge power is not what you want. Beside something like the Novak 5.5 or 4.5 motor are insanely fast anyways. People have also done direct comparisons between the Novak and sensorless sytems, they are actually just as fast.
