If you use different distros specified for the AMD Processor, all you need are kext's.

Indeed, it is quite possible on AMD processors. As far as your SATA drive goes, not sure what to do. You might try installing OSX on a large flash drive if you have one (8GB or better. 16 or 32 would be optimal) or maybe an external hard drive. If you can't get a direct install to work, you could just use a virtual machine, though it's a bit slower.

Yup, using OS X on my VMWare Workstation
Would rather dual boot.

Anyways, I put some space aside on my backup drive to try and setting it up, just running into a kernel panic, and a few other errors after rebooting after installation
