I see your concerns James and I'd like to think I have most of them covered.

I ordered the FLM bulks & Towers and a bunch of little stuff from Mike already. I already have the HPI BP diffs NIP still. Once I have chassis in hand I will be looking into doing a 180 and try to get the packs up front some how.
I've ben working on cutting my own chassis out of 3/16" T6 plate but it's ben very slow going. Already eaten up several jig saw blades. I was chatting with the wife about the lack luster progress and she offered to buy the DB17 chassis after a little smooth talking ! Soo, either way within the next week I hope to be starting a assembly. Since theres already ben several builds on this platfrom I'll probably just post a finished build, IDK ?

LST platform, one of the best if not THE BEST. I already have 2, I want something different.
