WE'RE STILL HERE. Belive it or not the strom was quite frightening, but we are still alive and well. Our housing area got hit hard. We lost about half of the trees and several of them are resting on houses, but no injuries or deaths that we know of. We have a very large tree down in our backyard, but it layed down in a way where all it damaged is our cable and internet lines. Still here we are. The base commander shut down power at 0500 this morning as the storm was coming assure to avoid any electricusions or any other issues that would require emergency recovery. The eye wall came assure just south of us over the Inchon international airport, and ripped across the peninsula leaving quite a bit of damage to clean up. Things are quite hectic around here right now, but they expect to have things back to normal here within the next 24 to 36 hours. Power came up about a half hour ago, so we are all on line trying to update our friends while we can. Who knows how long it might last. The wife & I woke up early and watched most of the action from our front door, and luckily the kids slept right through the whole thing. By the time they got up it was just about done with, so we took a drive around the base to check things out. It looked like a disaster movie scene. We are shocked yet pleased that they were able to get power up so quickly. Honestly we expected it to be out for a few days. We just broke out the grill and had a burger & dog night here with the kids. We just told them that we were camping IN for the night.

Looks like we should be good to go by noon tomorrow. The fire department just came around door to door sharing info through a printed report and update for everyone on base services and a schedule for recovery. Pretty cool actually. So now we are wondering what is going on with Hurricane Earl moving up the East Coast. We do not have cable so no news updates.

SUPERMAXX YOUR LIFE.
