Seriously, the motor is fine to temperatures that would cause you a lot of discomfort... The main magnets in the 2200 motor (the HPI flux is based on the 2200) are good to 170C-180C, which is about a 120-140C case temp. The windings are also rated to 180C, and the main wires are rated to 300C.

So no worries at all.
that's 250F btw

Patrick told me to tell you to get a temp gun before you bother him more. He's busy with the MMMXL

No, because you'll still find things to moan and hand wring over.

I may not have a direct line to Jesus, but I got one to PdC.

Actually, not so much a direct line to PdC, but I do have Chris on the speed dial, and he's got a direct line to PdC, and that's got to count for something.
Well, maybe not a direct line or the speed dial exactly, perhaps he just knows the extension..., but really that's beside the point here...

Look. I'm sure if I asked Jesus, even he would say to go get a temp gun if he has not miracled one to your butt already. However the hand would be preferable. Jesus may have turned turn water into wine, but he never built a HVMMMXLOMGWTFBBQ, and that is far more useful frankly, so please leave the man be until you get your temp gun and we've exhausted every option to your problem, which I'm quite certain will be not much of a problem. Failing that, then we call Jesus. Then Santa. Then finally BA Baracas, Micheal Knight, Thomas Magnum and Angus McGuyver.
Don't worry, we will get to the bottom of it. Its what we do, and we're professionals.
