Strange behevior on a MMM

At that point I decided to test the MMM with my castle link before trying again with lipos ...The mmm connects and seem fine with castle link.

Since the MMM had a series adapter I decide to remove it and give it a try with a single lipo. Disconected the motor wires and plugged a single 3s lipo.. I got the ring tones WITH NO MOTOR CONECTED! and the wires get hot ...

What should i do ?

If you are getting ringtones from it without the motor connected i would run from it like scooby doo cause its haunted.

As ARCT1K stated sparks are normal,and it isnt possible for the esc to ring w/out being connected to a motor.
I have no idea why the battery wires would be getting above ambient temp. by simply making the connection?
