Welcome to the club with the rest of us sick-o's ?

If keeping your hobby in check is nessasary I see no problem w/that. Everyone has to set limits and realize when to much is to much. When it came time for me to upgrade to 2.4Ghrz I purposely bought the model with a 10 model memory to help my collection to stay at a minimum. It didn't help a lot but it has helped some, I have 10rc's I run regular and another 7 built and sitting in the closet on the top shelf. Why sell them when I'll never get what I have in them, I figure they will not go bad from sitting ?

For what it's worth I've found this hobby very theraputic and rewarding for me, I've ben heavily involved in RC for 25yrs and now more than ever it has helped in more than one way. I have a lot of stress at home takeing care of my elderly father (Advanced Alzheimers) and the RC's are a geniune escape in the evenings for me. Without them I'd probably be a rageing alcoholic trying to drown self pity and depressing thoughts.

I retired from RC, now life is all about guns and long range shooting.

There's an insight! I knew you were caring for your Dad but now I know why.

On the social side I am lucky or unlucky depending how you look at it. I've had many close friends but they are always people close to where I live or workmates. As a result they come and go. Since having a family things have changed in that I make less time for socializing.

If your gonna thin the herd, maybe think about doing a swap for what your after. I have swapped rc's just cause I thought the car he had would be easier to sell. Heck I've even swapped stuff at the LHS.

Sometimes you just have to take a step back and leave things alone for a while. Take a break and do other things that make you happy. Give it a rest and come back to it when you have more time and money to do things your own way. Your right too much of a good thing can be bad for you. Then with a fresh perspective you can make an educated decision on what to keep and what to get rid of. Life never waits for anyone. Time marches on no matter what we do. Good luck with your decisons.

SUPERMAXX YOUR LIFE.
