Power Supply Needed

Also if i wanted to do without a power supply and just use two 12v batteries in a series for a 24v pack, what kind of mA rating would i need to charge, say 6, 5000mah 5 or 6s lipos?

Sweet, i looked at that before but didnt realize that could do 520w.

Its also only 13.8v.....Duo3 will not develop its full 360watts of power with 13.8v input source no matter how many watts.

You sure?, I mean the ohm's law thingy says that 13.8v and 40amps is 552watts. I dont know what to do i can get the amp and watt ratings it calls for but not quite the voltage. Maybe i should do a 24v battery setup and just buy a charger for them, 2 12v batteries aren't exactly portable. I'm assuming that i would have to have some pretty high mah 12v's am i correct?

This has been discussed on more than one forum. You'll only see 160watts per port using a PS with less than 14.5+v, not 180watts per port. There is some component internally in the charger that has to have the higher voltage to enable full power, its not a matter of watts.

without a "powersupply" or Charger how are you going to regulate the voltage PROPERLY to eatch cell to ballance them ?

you dont just dump power into the + and - on a lipo pack cause not all the cells will be the same
and if you have a weak cell say in the center of two the weaker cell will well you know .......
or if the two or one of the two outer cells are weaker well the same outcome.

Its all cool just maken shure i have seen Alot of poeple doing dumb things with lipo's
