I installed this firmware during the week and gave it a first try this morning (RX8\T8). I was a bit confused about the timing as well. The documentation is ok but could be better.

Braking strength has definitely improved. Seems on par now with the Castle MM. I used the first preset for timing (10% ?) which i think is at least the same amount as i had set on the previous firmware (Timing Advance = 10). Top speed seemed a little slower but throttle response felt more linear which was nice. Motor\ESC Temps were in the same range as before

Forgot to mention yesterday. The delay time when running the fwd\delay\reverse mode seemed shorter. Now feels like its close to the MM, before it was a bit too long.
