Simply awesome find. Make sure to get a screen copy before it gets deleted. Priceless, 9 an hour. Pathetic.

I am very torn by these last few posts.
If someone happens to mention the cost of MA's packs, it seems a line forms to see who can join in and bash the fastest. Now the complaint is MA is trying to keep their costs low which is somehow bad.
And before anyone accuses me of favoritism, I am a competitor of MA.
Come on guys.

Cost of the packs is completely beside the point.

MA have CONSITENTLY made claims that their products simply could not back up. They have provided little to no factual information (graphs, etc) to back up their products. They bully individuals if any claims against their specs are put out. I could go on and on (and have done so) about what I have seen them do since they started selling lipo.

There is a reason why they are not on this site as a mfg anymore, might want to look into that before you go any further.

And yes, they do sell a product at a preimium price that is generally viewed here as middle of the road, performance-wise. Yes their stuff works, in a crawler or if you put an "8000mah 30c" in a rustler. But us here that run heavy powerful fast electric rc have found that their stuff does just not measure up. Maybe the packs work in ROAR approved spec racing or something like that but they do not work in a 15lb monster truck that is geared for 60mph. Since they have started they have routinely rated lipos 10c or greater than what the batts can actually do. Now they are throwing out 150c or 75c or WTFc or whatever. Just pure BS, as always.

Have their products got better? Yes, they have, but they are still putting out ridiculous specs and generally trying to sell via advertising that is just not true. I know the crawler bunch like them, and I know that they sell to alot of traxxas owners. Do the plane guys use MA? Do the EDF jet guys use MA????? How about the big Heli guys doing 3d? No, they do not. Want the best, look to the people pushing the envelope, just that simple. See what they are using.

I use RCM parts for my builds when I can cause makes the best stuff. I use CC products because they make the best too. I used to use enerland mfg cells when they were the best too. Lipo tech has come along way, and prices are dropping while power and quality are going up.

I would just like to correct you there. If you frequent RCC it can clearly be seen that the only people running MA are SPONSORED DRIVERS. Oh and the general idiots that maxamps manages to fool. The fact is on a crawler many are running packs smaller than 1000mah in comps for the lowest possible weight. If it isn't a true 35-45c minimum pack they will die. Simple as that.

That and $9 an hour is still 100x the pay for the kids in china. They'll never be able to compete on cost alone.

Why do I always have this image in my head whenever I think of Maxamps?

I am not questioning any of the past history noted, however a couple of the illogical posts above are confusing. That's all; no more, no less.

My point is that I always figured they would pay their employess a little more than minimum wage. Im betting they have no benefits, no paid vacation and no paid holidays. But maybe, just maybe they get to use the Maxamps track if they want..YIPPEE! And they treat customers like crap, so how are the employees treated? Makes me glad i have a job already!

Built Ford tough, with Chevy stuff.
