Opinions Needed..Should Violent Video Games Be Banned?

I think people should be banned, that way violent video games will not have anyone to potentially corrupt.

I have to admit I got the new Goldeneye game for the Wii, early X-mas, since the first for N64 was legendary. Addictive little shit. Though if I can not complete a level I time myself. I give it five minutes of attempts before I call it quits for the day. This game is freaking violent though. At my age I feel that I understand a bit more though, if I were 5 I would have much different thoughts towards these games.

At most I allow myself 1 hour to an hour and a half to play the Wii. I try to ensure that I don't zone out for too long. I have a feeling that my other responsibilities take president and that when I figure that I have been spending too much time on the game I get away and get to doing choirs that require my attention more. At a younger age those responsibilities do not exist quite yet, or parents hold back from reinforcing them and that is how they get so accustomed to playing for hours on end.

Just some thoughts I had to get out. Mostly trying to put reason to the little addiction I now have for this game.
