Wow! That is a truly nice truck! I was skeptical on the marble effect on the anodizing, but that turned out quite nice! Especially on the wheels!!

See this is why I like collecting and building trucks. We here think it is great and I really appreciate all the kind words on my builds. That really means a lot to me, heck part of the fun is hunting the parts down then getting it ready for assembly. I take a great amount of time to make sure everything is just the way I want it and then building it is a ton of fun. I enjoy just the sheer beauty that a nice tricked out Maxx is all about. I used to flip threw the RC mags when I was younger and broke and just dreamed of someday having some of the radical builds you saw in the magazines back then. Well now I am kind of living some of my dreams of when I was young. I never would have thought I would be in the position to have some really cool RC's and get some awesome comments and compliments from fellas like you. It is great !! I am happy I built this truck and I look forward to the next one, and the next one, and the next one....ahhhhh
I would also like to take all of your wonderful comments and jam them right up the azzez of all the haters that post up in our threads wanting to know why we are so pathetic to spend money on something like a shelf queen. Always posting " what's the point " if we don't run it and beat it to death or just stare at it ( which I like to do ).
Because I can.......it is mine.

HAH! Exactly my story!
At first my wife thought I was crazy childish but now she sees I mean business. Still, a lot of people don't really understand but usually they come around and get very impressed when they actually get to touch the trucks and see them driving.
Your builds are an inspiration, J. Love it! Keep 'em coming, please.

Throwing that " we " word around a bit aren't ya. You need to start up a build dammit! Get that White EMaxxler going dude and start up a build thread. Or any one of the numerous trucks you own. I would really enjoy reading and watching you build something. That would be awesome....
I am busy getting a couple Clods ready for my daughter. She wants to take them to school and do a show and tell before school gets out so I am getting her 2nd truck done this weekend so she can take em to school.
Here is her CPE " Pet Shop Crusher " Terminator :

More info on the Clods? Or perhaps a build thread? I have some clod axles and I want to build them up, most likely in a crawler style. However, I would like another paid of axles to build a MT like yours pictured.

Take a stop over on my forum and check out all the Clod info. Join up and I will approve your registration and we can chat about all the Clod goodness over there. I would be happy to help out any way I can for you. My username is the same over there also. That is my clubs forum and we race Replica Monster Jam so I have built a bunch of Clods.

Sorry for the bad pic quality, I had to use my phone to take these pics.
.............................(click each pic for a full-size view):
Oh, there's a G-Maxx G2, JT-Racing Conversion, Lightning, eMaxxler, Thunder,
JER Industries Ti Conversion, Original Prototype G-Maxx Dual Motor-Mount,
Front VBS Bumper, 16mm Widetrack Knuckles, Longer/Long/Medium Ti Bones,
Full Set of Strobe Limiters + 2 Extra, Set of Knuckleheads w/ DD Wing-Mount,
Full Set of EXT Towers (both sets of towers have all body-posts & shock-mounts,
and finally, a very nice set of UE Aluminum Split-3s w/ Pro-Line Bow-Tie MTRs!
Again, sorry for the bad quality, but at least you can see what I have so far...
like I said, I am collecting all of the really rare & cool chassis first, and then I will
start building each one completely one at a time once I have all of the chassis.
Most likely I will build the eMaxxler first, but I need VBS for it first, VBS-T probably!
(The fully-Built VBS/Lightning/16mm Racer-X SM is AMAZING LOOKING when I use a real camera to take pics of it!)

I went up to the school today to finish up cleaning after our event we had yesterday and took the Lightning. We also had Zane's chopper and his Pede. I went back after the event last night and cleaned up everything but the carpet, I vacuumed it last night so it was clean before I put it away.
I ran it for a while and it drove really good. Jumps nice and level and the attitude correction from the throttle works awesome. Really moves the truck a lot in the air. But I am using those LiFe 2S packs in series and I just don't think it has good juice going to it. Plus it might need geared a bit cause the motor was getting warm. I did not have my temp gun with me so I don't know how hot it was getting but not overly warm as I could still hold onto it.
But the slipper really faded pretty quickly. I am using one of the Kitchen O Ring sprongs that Mike said worked great. But these after they heat up just slip and slip and slip. Maybe I have the wrong kind but they are pretty stiff rubber. I am going to tear it apart tomorrow and see if maybe the slipper pads are bad. I burned my finger when I went to tighten the adjustment plate on it and it instantly gave me a blister on my finger so it was HOT!! Really HOT!
I have a couple brand new Hyperion 2S LiPo's I think I will try in it next. Maybe it will send better juice to that system since it is a rather hefty truck.
Anyway here is some video!!! It was awesome driving this truck. Cannot wait to get it dialed in and run some packs through it.

Well the Black and Yellow truck has been put on the back burner for the time being and I have no idea when I will get back to it.
I have been busy with the pile of parts I bought recently and it has sparked my interests a bit more talking with a couple good friends about the direction of the truck and the parts available we decided to make it a track truck.
I had a Thunder on this and then a Lightning came up on Ebay and since I just parted the Predator out I had some play funds. So now this has spawned!

RC Monster Universal Center Diff w/ Slipperential

It mounts great. My friend had one extra GA Ti center skid he sold me and a nice Slipperential. The slipper has been passed around to a couple different owners but never used yet. I will have to pull it apart and make sure it has the correct fluid in it.

I put a monoblock on it since I had shafts that were for a different build and they fit perfect. I might have to dremel a small notch where the rear drive shaft goes under the top plate but just ever so slightly. It clears but it is hard to see light in between it.....LOL!!

Not gonna mess with colors or anything. Just going to get a couple RC Monster battery trays for it and secure them to the chassis. Tune it up and toss it on the track. I have a new LST2 Crowd Pleazer shell for it so it should be long enough.
It has been busy moving my boy away to college so I have not got much accomplished this past couple months. I have a National Clod race to attend in October and then our series Opener is in October so I might not get back to these too soon but they are here when I am ready to tackle them. I got some Clod work to do!!!

The Lipos should give it a bit more kick than the LiFe packs since they're a bit higher voltage. Good to see the truck getting a bit of a workout! Thanks for sharing these projects and the update.

I liked the vid! Having a temp gun handy everytime you run is not a must but it is close. The Lightning is very nice! It does jump really well.
Those Hyperions should be great packs.
