I'm with HnC on this. Making adaptors can work, but the weakest link will be the weakest connector. Not only do the motors see less voltage because of the connector, that voltage drop also generates power which can heat up and melt the Tamiyas. Soldering them only takes a couple of minutes, but then you can be sure to have a superior connection. The biggest downside is the cost of the Deans.

I made an adaptor only so I can charge various connector batteries on my SuperBrain 959.
