Thanks for the quick responses. I actually do have a Tekin RX8/1350kV in my big Summit. That's what gave me the idea for a similar set-up in my mini-Summit.

Will that Novak 380 be enough for a 1/16th scale truck, or will it be pretty stressed. I believe it was designed for 1/8th scale cars.

I'm also wondering if the drag brakes are always on full-time with the Novak Crawler 380. I want this truck to be a trail-rig, capable of bashing a bit, but also able to pseudo-crawl over rocks, etc.

Would it be advisable to go with the MMPro and the Novak 380 crawler motor perhaps?

Thoughts?

The system was made for 1/16 size. The motor also has a 1/8" output shaft so 1/10 pinions gears work on it. I have one in my Vendetta Short course truck and it does well, however you must gear it right.
