Actually, the MMPro is a complete redesign; different PCBs, different layout, different FETs, different BEC, etc. The only similarity it has to a MM that I've seen is the way the wires are arranged.

However, the MMMXL is substantially more expensive than a MMM, so any upgrade cost would seem close to a regular purchase. Not to mention they cater to different segments, while the MM and MMPro are both 10th scale ESCs.

I should have just said the MMP was the redesigned replacement for the MM. :)

I saw this on a online store
Castle Creations 1/10 Sidewinder Sport ESC/6900kV Combo is real ?

Another question

The Castle Creations 1/10 Sidewinder SC System 3800kV will survive on a on-road 4wd sedan at 3s ?

Final

Do you offer a "Upgrade options" for a fee.

To move from the MMM V3 to the MMMXL ?
The Sidewinder SCT/V2 is a brand new design. It uses the new copper chunk technology that is being used in the Mamba XL and Phoenix ICE controllers. It allows us to make the controller with the thinner circuit board which reduces cost. It handles almost the same amount of power as the Mamba Max, but at a significantly lower cost. You can use the 6900kv and 7700kv unlike the original Sidewinder; it can also run a 3s on the 5700kv where there original Sidewinder was limited to a 2s on the same motor.

The Sidewinder SCT system will run great on 3s in a touring car or any normal 1/10th vehicle (read non-short course)Just be sure to use the torque limit or stock up on extra tires.

There will not be an upgrade from the Monster to the Mamba XL. We do not have upgrade paths available between scales. IE we don't allow any upgrades to the Mamba Monster because it's the only 1/8th scale.

Thanks Thomas I was iffy on pumping 3s through the sidewinder to the 3800 due to the lower cost I wasn't sure how well it would hold up but you removed my doubts... now to find a nice 3s pack that will fit in my rustler for a good price

I run the sct sytem in my pede on 3s. Runs great, geared 18/58. This is a great system, big thanks to CC for making it so affordable. I can only imagine what a tc with this system could do. Easily handle some high gearing on that.

Thanks for the Answers Thomas.
