[QUOTE][A gentleman posted a thread on a different board awhile ago, with a picture of his jacket pocket; he had stuck a sidexside pack in there, and forgot he had some loose change in the pocket too!
The sparks started a nice little smokin' blaze that burned a hole clear through both sides of his jacket/lining!/QUOTE]

About a year ago I bought my first sets of "good" batteries from Alex at BoomBoomBatteries. When I go thtem, I was quite dissappointed that they werent "wrapped" like the batteries I was accustomed to getting from my LHS. I asked Alex about it, and I posted a question about it over on RCU, and I was roasted on the fire about the "added weight", overheating, "no respectable racer would be seen with wrapped batteries...", etc., (Kinda like saying "I dont want brushless.." on this forum!!!)

I had several issues with those batteries - one set exploded on the charger, one was wired backwards, and one set ended up melting the tamiya plug on my emaxx. I was a newbie and didnt know how to handle them "correctly", so I take partial responsibilty for it.
