Can you even buy 3mm thick aluminum? If you want this thing to be bulletproof as you say 3mm is not even 1/8" thick. 6061 is pretty strong, and I don't even think 7075 will be strong enough for what you are talking about, but Texas SP is correct on strength, 7075 is much stronger.
