MMM's and MMP's can be had for the same price. Unless one is going to use a sensored motor it makes much more sense to buy an MMM. It is a more robust and therefore more forgiving controller.

It's "Dr. _paralyzed_" actually. Not like with a PhD, but Doctor like in Dr. Pepper.
I'm thinking about a RX8 now, it's a little tight under the body with a MMM. It fits, barely. I mean I have to get the wires in just right, or the body wont go on.
