My best suggestion would be to go with a motor with a 5mm shaft. I have snapped my fair share of 1/8" motor shafts, but only on center diff stuff like buggies. No slipper equals alot of load on the pinion.

The 1512 would be a bit much, but you can dial back the power via the esc programming.
