I believe in our worlds nuclear specialists in that they can contain these reactors.but all they need is one slip up and a 100 hundred square mile radioactive plume flies over japan and California, like the world economy could withstand one of the largest tech producers and one of the biggest breadbaskets in the world collapsing.

I also just read that Japan has declared states of disaster in six of its nuke plants as of about an hour ago. The official death toll now stands at about 1400. I am sure with the level of devistation it will take weeks for their efforts to reach final numbers and figure out exactly what level of damage has been done. The estimates I just saw may equal somewhere near $65billion in just insured damages.

Todays news reports - 03.14.2011, 02:10 AM

We finally saw some of the news videos that show entire towns being washed out to sea. It is devistating just to think of what these poor people had to endure. The news said that yesterday off one of the towns worst hit they found over 1000 bodies along the seashore. There is a report of a second explosion at one of the Nuke plants, but that the radiation levels were within exceptable limits so there was no danger of major leakage. The videos are just painful to watch.
