I will use the 1717 ......... if the motor dont arrive at 50.000rpm will be ok ....... if I arrive at this rpm the car will fly at 150mph
I think 150mph is impossible ........ but 120-130mph Im sure I will arrive

I just meant, isn't the wattage rating of the 1717 rated at 3500 max? And what combo are you planning on runing at 9-12s?

3500w is the power of a 1520 ........... 4500w is for a 1717 ;)

Sure you can. You can run 15s... Just not covered by warranty...
But seriously the 1520 would be a better option IMHO. Patrick from Castle stated that the diameter of the rotor being just the little bigger in the 1717 make the centrifugal forces so much more on the magnet and wrappings = More prone to failing when running those 60,000+ RPMs. And I do remember him saying that they were accidently testing to 100k when the MMM Combo first arrived with the same dia. rotor. Hence the 45k and 60k limits on either motor.
Either way Castle IS coming out with new rotors for the 1717/1520 soon, So have at it! Video it and break some records. Just stop throttle if you hear a pop. My dad was running the 2650 on 6s for months and the rotor finally gave and his windings were OK because he didnt try to gas it IMO.
This is a hobby and is meant to be entertaining, And It sure will be...

Running the 1717 on 9s will be pushing it to the extreme limit IMO.
