The 9L would be a better choice than the 8L. Since the HV-Maxx is the only sensored brushless system (currently) usable for the E-Maxx, there are no upgrading possiblities. In other words, you couldn't upgrade the motor later to a more powerful one like you can with the sensorless setups that are sold here. For example, if you get a 9L now and run 12 cells, later you could get a 10XL and run 20 cells.

Thanks for the help.. So the 9920 and the 9L will work together just fine with 12 cells....... Its basically the same price as the hv but alot more capable... Will this be a good basher?? Will the stock gearing work?
