She must be getting hefty - You know brass is denser than steel!

18lbs and still plenty of motor, has great traction with the weight.
I compared the brass with steel tubing and etc and the brass was the same weight or lighter, I wanted to use the brass so I could do all the work in the hobby room verses out in the shed welding and grinding in the Florida heat. I just hope it hurrys up and tarnishes, I hate the bright gold look when it's new looking. Once it's good and tarnished it should look weathered and aged.

Micro mark has some weathering and tarnishing products that will speed that up for you.
I have used it on my trains, works well.

Thanks for the idea Tex, I had no clue such a product was availible ??
I bought a 8oz bottle of Brass Darkener on Fleabay for $10.00 shipped, the reviews for the product were very favorable.

I was watching Trucks TV on Spike and they were talking about this same thing. How to make Copper plating look older. They recommended using Miracle Grow African Violet in liquid form and this will give you the aged look your looking for.
Here is a link, it's at the end of the show.

Truck looks great, keep up the good work.

One suggestion from me on paint job: air brush a little black "soot" trailing back from the stacks? Would make it look like you've been burning a lot of Diesel. Might just make it look bad too....
I like the LEDs, never can have enough of those!! Would love to see this thing rolling in person. Looks awesome.
