most people mount the receiver on the empty servo location with zipties and use a bracket, made from a light but strong material, to mount the esc. i'm not an expert on the motor/esc part, but i would say 8xl or 9xl for good power and efficiency with a bk 9920 on 12 cells. i recommend one hitec hs 5955 servo. it will turn any tire, anywhere. gearing depends. personally i use a strobe slipper with an ofna 51t spur and 15t mod 1 pinion. i think most here would agree on the strobe being the best slipper for brushless.
