Mark thanks for the info. I also plan on running in the sand some. The 9 or 10xl should run a little cooler with more torque and run time with less top speed. Where did you get the boots as I will probably need some and the most important question do you like the way they fit/seal? The sand really puts a bad drag on the drive train as you probably already figured out. I spend a lot of time in the sand .Mostly ATV's and my truck when it's not broken.

And now back to squee you're the only one I know that can edit someon elses post. That was pretty funny until I found out that I got punked by a 16 year old.My oldest boy is 16 that is what makes it so bad. Still funny though. Keep it coming. I can handle anything that you can thow out.

So many toys and so little time

The boots came from Tower Hobbies. "Hot Boddies Rebuild Kit 61215" Mfg #61216 $6.69, set of 4. My local hobby shop ordered it for me. Also I was just burning up meltdown strobe pads until I removed the stock spring and replaced it with a few washers and really crank it tight, strobe 51 set up. I also run spyder 8.

They fit very good, Can probably put grease in there for a silky smooth set up. I am only just running them now. Time will tell but the fit is very good.

What would have more torque 9 or 10 Xl, What would be a good pinion size 16?
