All you need to do for motor brakes and reverse is lock the Revo tranny. It has a one way bearing in the tranny. Simply lock it and you can use motor brakes. Also, the center diff allows the front and rear wheels to turn at different speeds for quicker turning. It also keeps the front wheels on the ground. The only thing I found about using the Revo tranny was that it was hard to mount the battery on the left side.

Keep in mind when you lock the one-way you will loose the autoshift, and make it single speed. A nice thing would be to sacrifice reverse, use mechanical brakes and keep it 2 speed. Just a thought.
