Thanks for the advice guys... Guess I should have spent the extra money and gotten the Quark 125 and the Feigao 9XL. Well, too late now. I'll have to make do. So far, I added a heat sink to the Feigao motor (went cheap with the standard Traxxas $5 heat sink).

I also took Sqee's advice and changed the gearing to 16/66. I Definitely see a difference with less heat in the motor and less heat on the speed control. :027: BUT the insane speed I was getting with the 18/66 gearing is also gone :019:

Its still better than the original twin titans, and MUCH longer run times using a pair of 7.4V 6000mAH batteries.:018:
