If you don't mind the non-stock look and are looking for an inexpensive alternative to GMaxx straps,
regular velcro strips work very well, especially the way you have them mounted. Since they are simple, replacing them when they get dirty and/or worn is a piece of cake. They are just strips with the hook on one side and the loop on the other. Just wrap them around the batts and overlap as much as you feel comfortable with.
I use this on my Jato and Revo and they work great.
