well im going to be getting a new one for free anyways.. so i was just thinking i could use this as a backup..... hmmmmmmmmmmm

what is the stock length wire?

I know you haven't said which Receiver it is, but if it's the stock Traxxas system, the length is 24" of 24 gauge wire according to a post over at the Traxxas boards.
