I have no idea how the FLM chassis compares to the stock chassis in terms of weight. From the looks, it might be about the same due to all of the milling.
Personally, I don't think I would ever buy one. I've only bought one aftermarket chassis for my Rustler, and that was the Nightmare chassis (they went out of business a year or two ago) that I got two or three years ago. I stopped using it about two years ago, and since then I've been making my own chassis. So, I wouldn't buy the FLM for that reason. But also, the FLM chassis is almost completely open to the elements - it seems like it would be a must to put balloons around everything.
