just got e-mail from team tekin:

I do not have a lot of info yet. I do know that it is going to have about
40+ fets and we are building this big enough to handle up to some of the
1/8th scale electric stuff that we are going to be testing.

If they dont even know what its going to look like yet what are the odds that it will be out by Spring or ''shortly after'' the R1 and R1-Pro is released.

Definitely sounds like we'll have to wait a loooong bit. ".... that we are going to be testing" Come on, if testing has not even started yet, lord knows when it will be out.
