Cool 03.01.2007, 02:46 PM

got my F/R diffs, 4.3 ratio.
dont really know what to do, get a motor that will run nice with the 4.3's in there or get 3.31's and get a motor for the ratio that would give me?
any advice?
ratio will be 25/1 with the 4.3's. with 20T motor pinion.
need to shim the diffs, got shims on the way, any tips you could spare?

i'm still thinking about it but not working on it right now.
i would like to make it with the chain drive, the hard part is the sprocket.
i would also like to use the thundertech chassis as the center plate is longer, wich is needed. i'm kinda holding of since this project may be more difficult then doing 1/8th nitro conversion, wich i plan to do 2 of soon. most likely i wont be able to make my own part so i'll have mike do the machining.
if you draw stuff defo show it of here. maybe we can work together on this?
thanks, mike.

looks like you could use that spur pretty easy (not sure on pitch) or swap it with a 32p spur
im currently using this Carbon Fibre chassis - (cant find like :013: ) but i may use the stock tranny plate as it is more solid

direct drive? then you need plastic spur for the diff, steel does not work, eats pinions. look in the shop here in gears and tranny section.
i want it to be like the stock trans, but with a diff in it.
