RC10GT convert or not?

I took a few more pictures today since I had some parts laying around. There all just sitting on the chassis, all of the wiring needs to be done, if I can do it with one of these layouts I would put plastic around the edges of the batteries to protect them and plastic around the esc in the back too. This seems like a simple way to do it, or rather easier. I dont know if this would be the correct way to put everything though?
