Well... the Revo slipper should be pretty good. I ran a Robinson slipper on my maxx.

The original emaxx slider shafts used to look like pretzels after running a high power brushless setup... but he HV should not do too much damage. I ran the old Hacker C50 setup (similar to a HV I would say) and the rear center shaf thas to be replaced with a steel CVD... and the rear axle sliders did twist quite a bit but still worked. (I actually swapped sides after they were permanantly twisted... and they worked good after that :) )

Use a mild setup like the Novak and keep the slipper working... and it should hold up imo. You might have to make the Pede diff a spool... fill it with JB Weld or something ;)

well i wish i still had the emaxx trans but i was dumb and sold it on ebay because i needed money for my clod project (which sucks). but this is what i wanted to substitute, flm alum tranny case, rc-monster alum. diff, one peice steel diff locker i found on ebay, and the steel idler gear. The transmission mounted up pretty easy and i used the halfshafts from my old emaxx as driveshafts. I have the newest version of the pede with the revo slipper so i was hoping that would workout in my hv maxx project. Any info on do's and dont's?

using the t-maxx transmission makes alot more sense.i certainly wouldn't throw that kind of money at a pede tranny, you can get a sorted e-maxx tranny in there for less.

i am only 17 and dont have many resources to make my own parts thats why i want to stay away from using the t maxx tranny. It requires more engineering than i think i am capable of and even if i could fabricate something im sure it would not be good enough quality to last in my truck. The pede tranny was easy to mount and i think it has potential. I will however take the t maxx option into consideration because i am going to have plenty of time before the money is there to start spending.
