Thanks

If your using the stock 66t spur then the gear ratio would be ok with the 18t pinion...but the stock pinion has a 1/8 bore (3.175mm) and 7xl's have a 5mm shaft. Rc-monster sells 5mm bore 32 pitch pinion gears (which is what you would need to fit your motor and spur), but most people (including me) uprgade to mod1 pitch gears when using brushless, because mod1 gears have bigger teeth and are stronger.
There are some people that use 32 pitch gears in there brushless e-maxxes, but I'm not sure how long the gears last.
Probably worth doing a search to see what you can find out about people using 32p gears in e-maxxes, so you can decide if you want to stay with that or upgrade to mod1. If you go mod1, then the strobe slipper is one of the most popular choices. I've got one with no problems.
You'd need these parts

www.rc-monster.com/proddetail.php?prod=ofn30110 spur
www.rc-monster.com/gears.php 10th item is 5mm bore, mod1 pitch pinion,
5mm bore 32 pitch pinion gears is 8th item if you stay 32p
