Really? It made mounting the battery a whole lot easier, and the holes came in handy for tie-wrapping wires.

u may find they were put there for a purpose, to keep stuff out! i was told (on the buggy) that if i didnt add them it would be terrible. and would have stuff all in the chassis.

Ugh... the lhs ordered the wrong size pinion. They ordered a 12t when I asked for a 16t. They can have the 16t in by tuesday, but I was hoping to have it ready for this weekend. I made it VERY clear I wanted a 16t...

Glad to see that motor got some use. It was traded 3 times before it was even slapped in a car... What were the temps and how was the power/runtimes?

My heat gun took a crap, I ran it only for about 15min because I had to pee really bad and had to run up to my house. Anyway, it was basically all 1/2 throttle short hill climbs, and a bit of full throttle wheelie attempts. Even with 5k CD oil, I could wheelie! I'd say temps were as follows; motor: 140, ESC: 150, batteries: 95...

Good point, but because of the internal fan, doesn't that mean that air is blowing out of those holes, preventing crap from getting inside?

Just tested it, air comes in from the front and blows out the rear and sides.

dust will not hurt the motor in any way, basically, if it can fit thourhg the holes, its too small to do damage. ive run mine on gravel, dirt, even mud with no issues. the 500L i have in my boat will even run fully submerged! just because it can take debris gtting in the motor doesnt mean you should let them though.
