Those would fit very well even in series.
Even the Hyperion VX 6500 mah would fit in series(but there is no EX equivalent of that much mah) although you would have to cut out the sides from the tray
So I assume it would fit without cutting with the Castle conversion since they dont include a battery tray.
I also assume you will get the RC Mike conversion kit with tray.

And a question about Deans, is that good enough as a connector or are there different kinds of deans connectors?
Hi, yeah I picked the 4200mah Hyperions because they are going to be used in my other cars as well and I like the smaller dimensions and lighter weight of them. If they were to be used only in the baja I would have gotten at least 5000mah+. I am also going to be using two 4s pack in series for 8s 4200mah total so you have that right :)
And I am going to be using Mike's conversion kit.
There are just 2 deans that I am aware of. The micro Deans and the regular Deans, I'll just be using regular and I think they will hold up just fine. If not, I will switch up to deans connectors.

Wow, what a beast, and it fits perfectly into my baja5b conversion kit that I just have finished.

Awsome. Have to buy one of this motors and test it.

Haha yeah, I meant switch up to bullet connectors. Oops! And I'll let you know how it all runs soon! Most likely on Monday when I get my batteries, but it could be sooner on 6s. I'll keep you guys updated.

hmm, I read on a board that Deans wouldnt be sufficient enough, they can only handle max 60amps....so I assume deans connectors are not done with this system?

deans are rated at 60 amps for safe use. I swear by deans and will use them on my e5b. You will never sustain a 60 amp draw. Deans should be fine.

I have never ever ever seen a melted deans. If you melt a deans you are doing something seriously wrong.

cool dude! I'm sure we all will be waiting for your findings! ;)

and could you also post some pics of the conversion kit with the combo in your baja + with the batteries?
I would like to get a visual how tight the batteries sit and how much room left there would be.

+ a vid would be cool of course as well :p

Hi, unfortunately I have been swamped with work and just general life stuff. I had a chance to mock up some things but I need to either make or get Mike to make an adapter plate for the 2028 to fit as it is smaller than the Neu 2230 and doesn't have the same bolt spacing. My CNC mill is on the fritz so it may be a little while. I haven't really had over a few hours to myself for at least a week straight! I'll let you know when I get anything done.

What is actual bolt spacing on 2028 and 2230 ?

Thank You, Dejan

I looked in the "every manual you ever need" sticky in the general section and couldn't find it.

Could you provide a link for the pc challenged?
