Outrunners and hard crawling don't really mix well. They cog a ton when a wheel gets stuck, and with large tires it makes it worse. Sensorless is much better suited for a scaler.
Those links and shock mounts would work if you don't want to fab anything. FYI the 3mm threaded ballends will break pretty easy on a clod.
Is that made of aluminum or steel tubing? Just curious because I noticed the welds and if aluminum, was wondering how you welded it. I'm looking for a low-cost welding solution for one-off jobs but don't want to spend a ton of cash on a TIG or MIG (can't remember which does al welds).

You can do AL with a wire feed mig, but I am not sure if the smaller 120v models will do it. I have a larger Miller Mig (actually have 2 of them) and they have been very good machines. We mainly weld sheet metal (car body panels) but I recently was welding 3"-4" galvanized pipe for my low front fence and swing gates, and that stuff is thick. A good welder is a great investment, that is for sure!
BrianG, miller makes some nice welders for around 3-400 for home type setups. I have seen them in person and the work really well. The are not for industrial use for hours on end, but for the home user they are great.
Yeah, I had started a thread about welding aluminum a while back and know my options are to A) Get a good TIG welder and learn how to use it, B) Use that solder type stuff (links in that thread) and deal with the not-so-strong results, or C) find someone local to do the one-off jobs I need to do. I was just hoping there was some new magical/easy/cheap process.

I heard that if you close your eyes really tight and tap your heels together a few times while wishing really hard... Nothing happens.
The local welder will be the cheapest... But having a tig welder would be nice!
Luckily a buddy of mine has welded al since he was 10 so I am covered!
