Hmm, I'll have to do some more research on them if the jamming isn't really an issue. I'd like to have one (more as a collector/occasional use than anything). The only handgun I have right now is an XDm .40, excellent gun but I'd like at least 1-2 more handguns.

All I ever wanted was an honest weeks pay for an honest days work.

They are ammo sensitive, as far as cycling goes. If you use low power ammo they do not like to cycle. Magnum Research has a list of ammo that works on their website, give that a look over. I plan to just try a bunch of ammo out and see what she likes best.

Keep in mind that you should use jacketed bullets, as the cast ones can clog the gas ports. Plus I am sure the gun does not like some bullet shapes (although the feed ramp is pretty straight, and the mag positions the bullets almost in line).

I really did not read about any jamming issues, but the manual does specify a good cleaning regime, and the recoil springs do need to be replaced every 5k rounds or so.

Thanks, I'll give them another look. I was thinking of getting a S&W 500 Magnum instead, now I'm not sure between the two

I was planning the same thing, but that ammo is a bit pricey too! So I decided to go with a 629 and then ended up with this. I like autos better than revolvers anyways...

Nice piece there James! I'm thinking of DE's in the way of a pistol as well. Kind of intimidating just looking at it or speaking of it....

My first purchase will be a M4 or AR15. Would like to outfit it with a nice scope as well.
Also looking at the M-4 Ops, shoots the .22 round.

Sure wish I could swing the cash for one of these:

My brother's co-worker just dropped $5K on one and another $1500 on a scope. The gun is just a pure beast!

James: where are you getting these guns from? online?

I use gunbroker and louisiana sportsman's classifieds. You can also check the local paper. Prices on gunbroker can be high, or low, just depends.

I need to ask my buddy about his bushmaster ar15, he did want to sell it a few weeks ago...

I just picked up a Ruger MarkII about 2 months ago, stainless version. Great target gun as .22LR ammo is still cheap, at least compared to everything else I have. I can shoot a ful clip of .22 for less than what it costs to pull the trigger twice with my .40S&W Glock. Next I want a 9mm but haven't decided between the XD and glock. I love my Glock that I have and I know they are reliable so it's kind of hard to justify something different

By the way nice collection Linc

I have a SS 5.5" bull target model that I modified it has a sweet trigger. I added pre and overtravel adjustment and a VQ sear. Then I used a VQ compensator to steady it when using the scope. About 3 years ago I shot silouette in Hunter pistol and smallbore HP. that was a lot of fun esp. at the 100m target you could almost fire a second shot before the sound of the bullet hitting the target gets back to you.
