That's not a problem. Just put a disclaimer on the package/site. And if people choose to ignore the warnings, well, that's when Darwin's theory takes over.
Seriously, nativepaul's suggestion of having three seperate power lead pairs for 3 10s packs sounds like a good idea. Just need something like a Hyperion 1030i "Trio+" (400w x 3) to charge them.

I personally don't like parallel charging. Heck, I don't even like 2p packs.

I understand, not having each cell monitored bothers me too, as I like to leave the charger alone while charging. I do not have the time or desire to watch it always.

Patrick, I contacted you about an issue I had. Your staff already has replacements in the mail to me today. I just got the Tracking number. Please tell Bernie in Tech Support thanks for his technical advice on Lipos...Tell Charles in Repair thanks for replying back to me and assuring me Castle would take care of me. You guys are absolutely TOP NOTCH. I would never considering buying any other brushless system. Castle....I am so impressed! Patrick...Thanks! -Kirk Hayes

i got my MMMXL today, to tell you the truth i am a tiny bit disappointed.
It didn't come with any of the MMMXL logo'ish stickers . just some of the yellow mamba's.
Other than that i love it so far. It is HUGE, in a good way, and the length of the wires is ridiculous. Well seeing as it is made for the baja i guess they would have to be big.

Only thing I'm not real happy with the XL I received so far is that the plastic end pieces are help in place only by the stickers on the XL, both of which are not very well stuck on....
I was happy of course to get a look inside the XL without having to separate the heat sinks but I think I see in the layout that some of the fets are not contacting the sinks? I'll take another look in a year or so when the warranty has gone At this point there is no real reason as the highest temp I've registered so far was 111'f and that was with longer than average periods of pulling 3220watts (speed runs), it will never see that kind of use running around a track.
If I could only draw what I see in my head, then afford to build it, and finaly get to play with it...

Patrick, do you have any idea about when the new Mamba XL will be available also on Hobby stores (including, for sure, RC Monster.com Store) other than on Your site ?
I'm asking this because I have to buy additional products (not Castle, sorry...) and I do prefer to make just one order to keep shipping cost as low as it possible.
Thanks in advance, Andrea.

Andrea,
We are working on it ... the distributors are not sure how to handle this item because it is unique -- nobody has a competing product. So they are a little wary about numbers, and are waiting for orders from dealers.
We are pushing them to take some units to test the market.
Thanx!
Patrick

How can they worried ?
I bet, if you fill up one shop here in germany, the stock will be empty within a day
Worth a try... Send a truckload to Jakspeed-Racing.de
Since i got told, HorizonHobby have/will drop the distribution of Castle products... I hope not !
kind regards
Mirko

Well, quite strange position (that of distributors)....if they don't make an initial stock, they probably will not have any idea about potential sale volume of the XL (unless the buyers place many backorders on this - very unlikely to happen )...its a catch 22
Well, I'll wait some weeks more and then I'll decide...
Bye, Andrea.

oh yes, Tower has it in stock in limited quantities, and it's Free Shipping! (but as always, not to Hawaii ) I just placed my order, get yours before it's out of stock! If you add anything else over 1c to your shopping cart you can use the $50 off $300 coupon too, use 014CY...used to be $60 in 2010, oh well.
