Thanks Jeff! Yeah, I am excited to ride it. I just need to order a throttle, and spend a few hours on it, and it'll be done!

More progress!

Had to cover the motor in plastic and a wet towel to shield it from welding sparks/heat.

Welded on 1" squarestock for brace for centre frame brace. Bent/welded centre brace.

Bent/welded rear frame braces:

Made a bracket to conform to the fuel tank- welded it, and hoseclamped the gas tank to it, with rubber guards.

Well I am sure you could get an old bike cable brake assembly and use it for the time being. Be interesting getting used to stopping

Holy shit, I got alot done in 3 hours...

Throttle I got off ebay:

Needed a brake cable tension adjuster, found one on a old bike I had laying around.

Needed a end for the brake cable so I made one out of some 1/4" brass tubing, and soldered it to the cable.

Cable installed on the brake lever:

Had to make a guide for the brake cable:

Welded it on:

Can you guess what this is?

You might have guessed right:

Brakes hooked up on the rear:

Throttle return/connector I made:

Yeah, my photobucket is weird like that, I copy 1 img link and it links to another. All fixed now. I can ride it, still needs a couple things done (need to dremel out ignition hole for kill switch) and then it'll be officially done. I didn't have time today to ride it though- worked to the very minute i had to leave.

Cool project. Used to have a little Honda 50cc bile when I was a kid, can't even imagine how many miles I put on that thing.

I noticed in the video that rear wheel looks a little off balance when it's spinning, does that cause vibration issues at higher rpm?

No. It's just because the rear tire is flat.
