Thanks! I'm sure you could do the same setup if you had the tools and put your mind to it

Haha thanks. It still has the metal spur on it, so it's a bit noisy but it's alright. Weight distribution is good, little heavier in the front than it was before so I might have to play with the shocks to get it just right. I'm going to a small track tonight so we'll see how it does.

Been racing this a bit, not as much as I want to and on a small track. I love the truck, won't sell it. I'm going to build a 1/8 buggy, probably an RC8. Not sure if I'll do a custom two pack design like this one or just buy Mike's kit. If it's as good as people say it is, Mike will probably be getting my money this time!

Were you having problems with the pin inside the side of the spider gears. The one that goes in the outdrive. I find it to be smaller than the similar buggy or truggy pins. Did you ever break one of those pins? LMK as I am also building one. Thanks in advance.

I've never had a problem with the diffs. Actually, this whole truggy has been hands down the toughest thing I've had. I've ran into walls, poles, berms, cartwheeled, endo'ed, slapped the chassis - you name it - and this truggy has laughed at it. The only time I've broken anything is when I've hit the same I beam of the indoor track with the right side tire, broken 2 arms this way. It was driver error and I was going pretty fast when it happened.

I had the outdrive come loose on the rear once, but I put locktite on it and no problems since.

I put 7K in front and 5K in the rear yesterday. Went on to win the electric 1/8 tonight, was very consistent and very fast all over. I really like racing on this big track, it's too bad I'm just visiting here though!

Very cool - nice track too. Where is that anyway?

I really like the low CG you've accomplished with the two lower profile packs. Have you weighed your setup yet? If so, what does it come in at? The only thing I might recommend from what I've seen is to counter sink the holes on the bottom of the chassis rather than using the button heads. You've probably already done this though.

By the way, are you the same GTXracer that was from Idaho? If so great to see you pull off this great build. Too bad we never got to dice it up at the Boise track

That's at RCHQ in San Antonio, Texas. I weighed the truck once, I believe it was around 9lbs. I've already countersunk those holes and added the appropriate screws ;) It's nice and smooth now.

I'm the same guy, I was stationed there but now I'm up here in OlyWA. Boise track is TINY! I liked mountain biking there though.

Looks nice w/the 6 body on it

I keep bugging Mike to hopefully make me a chassis for the 5T that would bring it to the same specs as the 6T w/out having to buy a whole new kit! He said it would be a 5.5T I also mentioned that if he made a few that they would probably sell quickly as quite a few of us have the 5T.

I would be interested in one for sure, add me to the list. I already have the big bores, and I don't think there's too much changed on the suspension but I could be wrong. Does anything swap over? I need to find out. I know the 6 series plastics wear even better than the 5 series so it would be nice to swap out my plastic for 6 stuff later on.

5.5T sounds awesome too The SHIFT body is really sleek, very good on a track.

Oh, and I'm very close to making my own chassis with milled cutouts for the battery trays, servo, motor, etc. It would be just like the setup I'm using now, but I might go with Mike's mount for easy mounting and less holes in the chassis. The Tekno mount is pretty light though, so maybe I can do some weighted tests between Mike's mount, the Tekno with plates and center diff plastic piece, and that Elite RC mount. That is, of course, if Mike doesn't make his 5.5T chassis.

Not sure on what plastics are interchangeable. I also have 16mm big bore shocks on mine and a slew of x-tra parts so I really do not want to start over w/a new truggy.

Mike did say that a simple switch over to a 6T chassis w/5T components would not work...differences in more than was first hoped for so it is not really a feasible idea unfortunately. (Would've been too simple.)

the biggest benefit except the new geometry on 6 is 10mm longer chassis.
my MBX5t has BCE chassis, mbx6t pillow balls, shocks and mud guards and now I got the new MBX6t bulldog body. however I still think that MBX6T will handle better out of the box. Still 3 months before racing season start so I will probably get MBX6T so I can compare.

Yes, please do! I have the BCE chassis as well, but never had the stocker to begin with - is it longer? I'm not sure if I would benefit from a longer chassis, I'm not on huge tracks. The one pictured above is by far the biggest I'll be on until someone expands or makes a much larger track in my area, which is doubtful.

What's the low-down on the 6T pillowballs? I have the teflon coated balls in the front of my 5T, not sure if they're stock or aftermarket. I need to get some of those mud guards when I race outdoors though, I got some mud on my rear CVDs when it rains.

You got any more tips for the 5T wallot? I heard there's something called m2 braces for the front and rear that allow access to the diffs in like 4 screws, heard of those? Any good/worth it? Oh, and what are you runtimes like?

BCE is 5mm longer making the truck more stable over bumps. also jumps better.

6T pillow balls are lighter. any hopup balls will do.

I run buggy +1mm offset hubs to make my truck more narrow.

By mudguards i mean the chassi side guards :) Just had to drill one hole in the middle. Font a rear fit ok. 6T guards are taller in the front so less dirt gets in.

for rear axle guards just cut piece of lexan.

slipperential, diffs 20-20-5
oil 350 front 300 rear
hardest RC8T springs (bronze)

truck handles great however I still miss bit of corner speed and I think that 6T will be faster through corners
